According to Fast Company, the number one job trend we’ll see in 2017 is the transformation of HR. How? By evolving from human resources as we know it today to “people science” through the use of big data: “Using data science in HR to make even small improvements in recruiting, hiring, and engagement has the potential for huge benefits to organizations,” says Glassdoor’s chief economist Andrew Chamberlain.
We couldn’t agree more with Chamberlain’s prediction. Not surprisingly, we’re big proponents of people analytics at ADVISA. We believe that an organization that uses the Predictive Index system in meaningful ways will hire people who are better fits for their positions, which will lead to happier, more productive employees and eventually better business results.
We also support the claim that big data in HR can go beyond hiring and can reach into the employee engagement space. ADVISA’s Dr. Fredricka Joyner and the Leadership and Organization Development team are working on a BIG year in the employee engagement space, including a recently released white paper (available for download here) and a scientifically validated Employee Engagement Survey (coming soon!).
So buckle up! It looks like 2017 is going to be a transformative year for the way organizations recruit, hire, and engage their people. If you’re not already on the bandwagon, ADVISA is here to help.
