Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO)


Once upon a time, if you wanted outside help with hiring, your only options were a temp agency, a placement agency or a headhunter. But for more than five years, ADVISA Hiring has been offering a different option: outsourced hiring that looks like your process, only all the work is handled by our Hiring Partners.

As of February 2010, we renamed this service Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO), which is the industry term that has recently emerged across the country.

What It Is

And so what exactly is RPO? Imagine the recruiting/hiring expert you've always sought in your company. Now you have that person. But they're on our payroll. With an RPO, you have expert execution of all aspects of the hiring process: job-profiling, marketing the position, screening, on-boarding, etc. RPO professionals bring to you the high level of ownership for excellence in hiring, but the flexibility that comes with being outsourced.

The Level of Help You Need

ADVISA offers two tiers of RPO service, designed to provide the level of assistance that you need:

RPO On Demand

For the occasional hire that you need help with, there is RPO On Demand. Examples of situations where on demand is necessary include: the HR staff is overwhelmed with hiring needs; HR staff has been reduced, no HR staff exists and other employees cannot spare the time and don't have the expertise to conduct meaningful searches.

A typical RPO On Demand search executed by one of our seasoned Hiring Partners includes:

  • Defining the behavioral needs for the job;
  • Writing the job posting so as to attract candidates the meet your needs;
  • Posting the job;
  • Receiving and reviewing all resumes within 3 business days;
  • Administering and interpreting Predictive Index surveys and a job-specific questionnaire;
  • Conducting phone screens;
  • Presenting you with complete fit/gap analysis of tap candidates;
  • Scheduling fact-to-face interviews;
  • Conducting background checks and reference checks.

In other words, you can just hand over the search to us - we'll be back with your top candidates and you, in the meantime, can focus on your business.

We are also available to conduct or participate in face-to-face interviews.

RPO On Demand is offered for an affordable hourly rate - no retianer or percentage of wages to be paid.

RPO Enterprise

When you need more robust hiring help, we can put together a broad hiring solutions package through RPO Enterprise. The services we provide include the comprehensive hiring assistance described in RPO On Demand, but more broadly across your company. Examples of RPO Enterprise solutions include:

  • A company hands over all of the sales hiring for a 100-person sales department in order to maintain a pipeline of sales specialists and create continuity in sales hiring;
  • ADVISA manages all of the salaried hiring at a production plant after the HR staff has been reduced. The remaining staff can focus on hourly hiring and other HR issues;
  • During a time of significant growth, ADVISA handles all senior-level hiring rather than the company adding to its HR staff for a temporary need.
