Here is a sample outline for the three-day training course:

Preparation

  • Testing and scoring surveys of all current staff.

Part 1 -- The Facts
  • Discussion of the primary business challenges facing the organization.
  • Discussion of the goals and concerns regarding Predictive Index (PI)® training.
  • Discussion of the four factors of PI® using examples from the client company.
  • Practice analysis of PI® patterns.
  • Case Studies

Part 2 -- Synthesizing the Information
  • Understanding fundamental needs. Again, specific client company employees will be used as examples to demonstrate the efficacy of the instrument and clarify how specific situations can be improved.
  • Discussion of the energy level measurement and what impact this has on work abilities.
  • Discussion of the Emotional/Logical component of decision making and how this impacts work behavior.
  • Organizational development team-building exercise.
  • Homework is testing family members and discussing survey results with them.

Part 3 -- Using the System
  • In depth discussion of motivation and how a motivated workforce is a more productive work force, using client company examples.
  • Discussion of attempts to change behavior. How much change can each individual make in their behavior? What kinds of changes are good? What kinds of changes are too much to ask an employee or oneself to make? Again, client company examples will be used.
  • Presentation of Employee/Job Management System. We will analyze a specific job (ideally an open one) and create the components necessary to successfully create a classified ad, interview and employ the right person and review that person's job performance. This will include the development of a want ad, Key Performance Requirements, analysis of existing employees doing similar jobs, and the Pro Form.

Part 4 -- Organizational Diagnostics and Implementation Plan

We will lay out the PI® patterns of the people of your company in an organizational chart format using the information provided to analyze the organization's strengths and weaknesses. It is at this time that we will come back to the challenges the organization faces that were discussed previously. Here we'll find that because we know the drives of the people who make the company work, we will better understand how it can be made to work better. We will both document the conclusions discussed and will use these as the basis for discussions in future meetings. We will also develop a PI® implementation plan determining how PI® will be instituted in your organization and how we can help in the process.
